The rain is not stopping any time soon. It just keeps coming. I love rain, I love storms, but not on days when I have to venture out and about. I suggested to Emi's teacher yesterday that they might consider cancelling school for a while. Ha! The rain is not a light sprinkle, it's those huge round drops that just soak right through the minute you exit your car or your house. These are the days that I wish we were all still in PJ's, laying around, watching football.
I am really enjoying being at home with the girls. I am working from home, running my brother-in-law's moving company. Trying to balance work, the girls and all the other stuff that comes with being at home is some times pretty challenging. But, I wouldn't trade it to go back to work and put the kids in daycare. That is for sure. Emi is back in dance and is loving it. Her dance teacher pulled us and another family aside yesterday and said that our girls are too advanced for the other kids in class and she was considering private lessons for us starting in January. She is afraid that they will just get lost in the shuffle if she doesn't. Fine by me. Like I have posted earlier, it's the one sport that Emi is really passionate about. We also put her back in swimming lessons. She has gone as far as she can go without being 5 years old. But, she loves just going. She asked us to sign her back up and even though she's already learned everything that she is doing, it's good to keep her active. With all this rain we don't get much "exercise" time.
We are waiting for the last 2006 Hammond baby. I checked Cousin Anne's blog and it looks like they are going to induce her on the 15th if she hasn't had him/her yet. It's driving me nuts that we don't know what she is having. That baby is the tie breaker. This year so far, we got two girls, "Elise" (5/25) and "Kali" belonging to Cousin Lisa (10/4) and two boys, "Parker", belonging to Cousin Jeni (5/31) and "Kaden" belonging to Cousin Tony (10/29). I give her credit though for not wanting to find out, I'd go crazy! I think though, that it probably makes the anticipation a little sweeter. So, here's to Anne...good luck girl!!! We can't wait to meet the newest O'Neal!!
