HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

My least favorite "holiday" and the most anticipated "holiday" of the year for Emi. Emi spends from May until September trying to figure out what she is going to be for Halloween. Then, she spends until October 31st on a countdown. Once the costume has been determined she can do nothing else but dream about "the big night". It's not about the candy for her, she doesn't even like most candy, it's about the spooky, the dark and the witches, ghosts and monsters. Does this obsession with Halloween scare me? A little. I'll be honest. I hate Halloween and I think it's "odd" she likes it so much. We took her to a haunted house/yard and she loved it. I really truly thought I'd have nightmares, yet there she was, running around saying, "....this is SO cool....". I'm saying ".....this is so creepy.....". But, it's almost over and then "The Holiday's" are upon us. That's more my style. Ha! In case you are wondering, Elise is a Strawberry. Emi wore the costume when she was that age. Doesn't she look adorable. The costume was a little more snug on Emi, beings she weighed about two pounds more then Elise at this point. But, Elise still looks plump and sweet.

We went to the pumpkin patch a couple of weeks ago. That was pretty cool. They have a train that takes you past a petting zoo/farm and out to a giant hay maze. Elise loved the train. The wind going through her bald head and all the fun scenery. Emi loved being the "big sister" who got to choose Elise's very small pumpkin. A giant pumpkin for Emi and a teeney, weeney pumpkin for the baby sister. We had a good time. It was a lot of fun for all and the perfect sunny fall day.
