Wacky Wednesdays

We've created a Wacky Wednesday tradition in our house. It started with Soccer camp a few weeks ago. The kids were supposed to dress "wacky" for Wacky Wednesday and Emi forgot to tell us. So, she was the only one at camp who wasn't "wacky". So, every Wednesday Emi wakes up and says, "Mommy, don't forget, today is Wacky Wednesday. And, this is some of what she's been coming up with. Note to self.....don't schedule public appearances for Wednesday's.

We are still as busy as ever these days. It seems like every day we are doing play dates or Bible camp or Soccer games. I've started to really look forward to school starting back up so that we can have some sort of "routine" back in our lives. Lucky for me, Elise just roles with it. She doesn't seem at all concerned or disturbed by our busy lives. I think she may even kind of like it.

The Hammond Family camping trip was this last weekend. Eric had prior plans so I took the girls by myself and met some family up there. We had a great time. Although, the rain on Sunday morning pushed us out of camp a little earlier then expected. Perhaps this can be a tradition we start back up? I remember these annual camping trips from when I was a little girl and now that a bunch of us have kids, it would be nice to create some fun memories for them as well. I'd post pictures, but I don't have a lot that actually turned out.

I did post some pictures from Elise's Baptism on our
flickr site. She was very adorable in her Christening gown and we had a great turnout. My parents hosted the after party and everyone stayed cool by sitting in the shade or running through the sprinkler. It turned out just as we'd hoped.
