Elise goes to school....for a bath?

Emi's preschool starts the year off by doing a lesson about "Body Exploration". They talk about the differences in each child's hair color, eye color and skin. Hair texture, height and foot size. They also discuss how everyone has different likes and dislikes. It's pretty fun. As part of this lesson, every year the school asks one of the "new mom's" to donate her baby for a day. The kids take turns washing the baby in the sensory table that has been filled with warm water. This year, Elise was the chosen baby.
The kids loved it, especially those who don't have baby brothers or sisters. Elise actually really enjoyed it too. I was a little worried about her being a little overwhelmed or over-stimulated, but she did fabulous. She smiled at the kids, grabbed their fingers and held on and actually giggled a few times. It was precious. AND EMI, boy was she proud. Her teacher had told the class if they had any questions to ask Emi or I. She answered the "what does she eat?" and "Why does she wear a diaper?" questions like a pro. So, 30 minutes later and twenty 4 year old hands washing her up, we were done. It was an awesome experience, I am glad that we were asked to participate.
