Three cheers for Eric..........

With a child of age 4-5 you would think that you wouldn't have to be as watchful of things such as playing with electric outlets or putting things in their mouths that they shouldn't. Well, obviously, that's not the case with us. Yesterday, Emi filled her mouth with foam. Yes, foam. And, it got stuck. Really stuck. A few good slaps on the back would not unlodge the foam stuck in her throat. She couldn't breath, talk or cough. And I froze, I panicked. Thank god for Eric who came running to the rescue with his heimlich manuever skills. After 3 tries, out it came. She was really scared and instantly started crying. (Can't blame the kid really.) But Eric and I were so relieved that we just started laughing. Emi did not find this humorous at all. (Again, can't blame the kid.) All night Emi kept saying, "Daddy saved my life. Thanks Daddy!"
