"Mommy, know what I'm thinkin'........."

"I'm thinking we need some sun!" This was the start of our conversation on the way to daycare this morning. At 6:15am while Emi was staring out the window watching the rain poor down on us, she decided we needed some sun. I think she is definately on to something. It has been raining non-stop for days now. Usually, I am a big fan of the rain, I don't mind it really. It can be cozy, you know, on a lazy Saturday afternoon when you have nothing else to do but watch the rain. But lately I have about had it. It could have something to do with the fact that it has been continuous with no breaks for what seems like weeks now. Last night when Emi was putting together her puzzle of the United States she told Eric that we needed to go "there". Eric asked, "Where is there", she said, "This pretty purple state with the Sunshine on it". She was referring to Florida. But, we aren't going anywhere, at least not in the next few months. SO, we will continue to sing "Mr. Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun....PLEASE shine down on me", five times every day until that darn Sun does shine down on us. I have to believe it will.
