Christmas is coming.............

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! I love this time of year. I love everything about it. The decorations, the music, the giving gifts, the trees, lights and GREAT food. The family parties and holiday celebrations. The whole thing makes me happy!! We just had our Hammond Christmas party out at my parents this last weekend. It was a lot of fun. I think mom and I counted 42 people at one point. This year we did something a little different and decided that rather then exchanging gifts with the adults we would adopt a family. So, my Cousin Anne organized the whole thing, split the adopted family between all of us and we definitely took care of them. It was so much better then having to stress about what to buy this Aunt or this Cousin, and then having to stress about opening your "gift" in front of everybody. Plus, it just makes you feel good to help out a family in need. We still did the exchange with the kids, which turned out great. It was a nice for them to get a little something. I'm really happy that things turned out the way they did.
We also took Emi to see Santa this weekend. She is still a little shy around that fat man with a beard. But, she was able to squeak out the one present she would like from him. It's all about Cinderella this year. I have a feeling that it's like that in a whole lot of 3 year old girls' house this year, but for Emi, it's the only thing she has really asked for. I'm sure Santa is going to come through, in fact, I'm positive. Emi's big question: "How does Santa get in if we don't have a chimney?" "Why Child, don't you know, Santa has a 'magic' key that works on everyone's front door. This way, if there is no chimney, he'll just come through the door"..............
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
