Rafting and camping.....

Labor day weekend was spent camping with our friends down on their riverfront property. Every year they gather a few friends and we have a great time. This year, we decided to take the big kids on a little rafting trip down the Clackamas River. It's tame to say the least, but to a five year old it was full of adventure and "danger". We dropped Elise off with Eric's mom for the day (the benefit of camping so close to home), we purchased ourselves a little 4 person raft and had ourselves a relaxing afternoon. It was a little tough to get Emi to agree to go. The weekend before we had gone on a rafting trip to Maupin with our friends, no kids allowed, and she had seen the pictures. Some of those rapids were class 4 and she actually thought that's what she was facing. But, once we forced her on the raft and we got going, she had a great time and she can't wait to do it again. The rest of Labor Day weekend was spent relaxing with friends and watching the kids play in the river. It was a great way to end the Summer.
