Emi's 1st Blazer Game.....

Thanks to Eric's company, we were able to take Emi to her first professional basketball game last night. Eric was offered 3 tickets and we said, "Heck, why not?" The Blazer's certainly are not anything to brag about, although they seem like a great group of guys, but the side show's are fun. The Blazer's of course lost, and we left with 5 min. left in the game....at that point they were down by 20. But, Emi had a blast. She chanted, cheered, sang and danced with the best of them. Her favorite part of the night was Blaze the Cat and his cool tricks and of course she LOVED the cheerleaders and the Blazer Dancers. (Go figure!!)
The best part of the night was the celebration of the 30 year anniversary of the Portland Trail Blazer's 1977 Championship. It was pretty cool to look back at some old pictures and they brought back the "old" team. It was fun. There are pictures somewhere in my parents collection of me being 6 months old and sitting on my dad's shoulders in downtown Portland during the parade and celebration after they won. So, even though it wasn't something I remember, it was pretty neat to be a part of that last night.
