Easter Weekend
Good Friday was gorgeous! Clear skies, in the high 70's and the forecast for the weekend was to be much the same. Fabulous!!! We had plans for good friends, Easter egg hunts and family gatherings.
Saturday, 3am, woke to rain pounding my roof. Damn those weather people!! Don't they know anything???
Despite the rain, we went ahead with our Easter egg hunt plans and although the rain was a slight set back, we still had a good time. E2 sat on a little hay stack and put a pile of eggs in her basket. E1 ran with the best of them, trying to collect eggs as fast as she could. We arrived back home Saturday afternoon, baskets full of eggs, soaked to the bone and exhausted. Nap time!!
Easter Sunday began early with a breakfast at church. Then, off to Grandma & Grandpa Hammond's for lunch and then to Grandma & Grandpa Gunnarson's for dinner. Even though the weather hadn't cooperated the way I had hoped, we did have a good time. The girls were dressed in matching white dresses with blue embroidery and they looked adorable. We had great family time on both sides and all in all it was a great holiday.
